An independent terminal,
built on filings.
Resora is operated independently — no broker licence, no market-data redistribution deal, no paid placements inside the interface. It exists because the two things that matter most in public-company research are hard to get in one place: the long history, and the document that produced the number.
What is in it
Counts below were measured against the production tables on 2026-11-02, the same basis as the coverage table.
- Insider records — 6,384,212 transaction rows parsed from 2,453,189 SEC Form 4 filings across 10,260 issuers, keeping accession and footnote evidence per row.
- Institutional records — 411,902 13F reports from 1987-03-31 onward, plus 3,017,033 fund and 3,012,594 manager holding rows.
- Statements and metrics — 3,585,408 financial statement rows; 219,206 quarterly and 68,326 annual metric rows across 6,260 companies; 1,639,882 product and 622,676 region links from segment disclosure.
- Text and events — 33,675 earnings call transcripts (from 2020-01-06), 223,177 news items refreshed hourly, 26,011 SEC enforcement events, 365,445 calendar events.
- Market and macro — 455,768 options chain snapshots plus 31,003 CBOE rows, 243,837 index bars from 1984, intraday quote coverage for 5,550 symbols, 527 macro indicators with 1,891,127 readings back to 1897.
- The universe — 48,490 master CIKs, 29,839 delisting candidates and 34,638 CIK–ticker pairs (build 2026-10-25), so a screen can be run against a set that includes companies that no longer trade.
How it is built
Ingest, parse, normalise, audit, publish with provenance — five steps, written out on the method section. The SEC-side pipelines are open source (secdata, MIT), which means anyone can re-run the extraction rather than take our word for it. The terminal itself is deliberately not crawlable: it is an authenticated application, and the public surface is this site's data and method pages.
What we refuse
- No recommendations, target prices or signals — a claim we cannot source is not shown as if it were data.
- No advertising, sponsored lists or affiliate links inside the product.
- No payment for order flow (we route nothing) and no resale of user queries or watchlists.
- No scraping of paywalled content. Where a field is locked behind a vendor paywall, we say so, name the substitute source we do use, and leave the field empty rather than inventing it.
Limits we know about
- Transcripts start 2020-01-06. Earlier calls are not covered.
- A subset of Form 4 transaction dates carries impossible values from the source side; period filters use filing dates.
- Delisting status is a proxy derived from annual-report silence rather than one authoritative flag.
- Fund and ETF holdings are a rolling window, not full history; 18,379 ETF holding rows covering 25 funds and 234 constituents as of today.
- Financial history depth depends on when a company began reporting in XBRL, so older periods are thinner for small issuers.
Naming
The project is also known by its Chinese name 市研社 — a research society, not a signal service. English-language product copy uses Resora.
